Departure from Chennai
Start your journey early from Chennai to Bengaluru (approximately 350 km, around 6 to 7 hours by car via NH44).
Consider breakfast stops along the way at well-known dhabas or highway restaurants.
Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel, freshen up, and get ready for your day of sightseeing.
Lunch:
Head for a traditional South Indian lunch at a popular restaurant. Some recommended places:
- MTR (Mavalli Tiffin Rooms) for classic Bengaluru-style dosas and other South Indian delights.
- Shivaji Military Hotel for a hearty local meal.
- Rim Naam (The Oberoi) for a more upscale experience with beautiful views.
Start Sightseeing Visit
Bangalore Palace: Built in the Tudor style, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The palace, with its grand architecture, opulent interiors, and history, will give you a glimpse of royal life. Allocate around 1 hour to explore the palace and its grounds.
Vidhana Soudha: Take a quick stop at Vidhana Soudha, the legislative building of Karnataka. While you can’t enter the building, it’s worth seeing the grand architecture from the outside.
Cubbon Park: Cubbon Park is right next door, offering a relaxing walk amidst greenery. You can take a short stroll here or visit a nearby cafe for a refreshing break.
Another large green space in the city, Cubbon Park covers around 300 acres and is ideal for a morning walk, jog, or simply relaxing amidst nature. The park is home to several species of flora and fauna and is located near the city’s central business district.
Bangalore's Commercial Street: Head to Commercial Street for some shopping. It’s one of the busiest and most popular shopping streets in Bengaluru, offering everything from clothes and jewelry to souvenirs. Explore the bustling market, shop for handicrafts, clothes, and other local products, and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
